DESCRIPTION:Are you prepared for an emergency?\nJoin us and find out!  The City of Phoenix Department of Emergency Preparedness will be our guest next Wednesday\, October 22nd in the Cortez High School conference room at 6:30PM.  We’ll have great information on how to prepare for unforseen circumstances. The City of Phoenix Office of Emergency Management protects communities by coordinating and integrating all activities necessary before\, during\, and after any natural disasters; acts of terrorism; or other manmade disasters. The staff of the Office of Emergency Management takes these threats and hazards seriously. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRudy Perez\, a Certified Emergency Manager will share with us his presentation and literature covering a myriad of topics.  There will be information on being prepared\, being informed\, and being involved.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll also hear from Vice-Mayor O’Brien as well as our PD leadership on crimes in our precinct along with announcements and updates for our PNP program.

This is a free\, non-profit event. \nThis health and wellness event aims to acquaint elders\, families\, and all community members with local agencies that provide social services and healthcare. It is also an opportunity to network and build strong partnerships and collaborations. This event brings community residents together and encourages them to become and remain active in their community. The fair will feature information booths\, a blood drive\, an immunization clinic\, activities\, and raffle prizes.
